Vic: Police investigating school fire in Victoria's west

Police are investigating a fire at a school in Victoria's west overnight, which threatened
to destroy several classrooms.

A Country Fire Authority spokesman says they were called to the Beaufort Secondary
College, west of Ballarat, about 11pm (AEDT) yesterday where they found a fire under the
floor of one of the buildings.

The spokesman says while the fire damaged the floor of three classrooms, the building
was still standing and saveable.

Police say the fire's being treated as suspicious.
